Many Thanks to Our Sponsor, The Meeting Point

Thursday, October 5, was our last Screen on the Green of the season. We had a great turnout from the community to see “Beetlejuice,” a fun classic that was a first time view for many of our young guests. It luckily coincided with one of the last warm evenings of the year, and so it made for a great viewing experience.

The event was largely thanks to our sponsor, The Meeting Point, and Loring Greenough House.

The Meeting Point is located at 3464 Washington Street in Jamaica Plain. They are a multi-dimensional community center for healing and growth. They work as a collaboration of independent providers who believe that oppression is pathology and that social justice heals.

“We provide mental health and body work services, we feature local artists and host community events, and we collaborate with community groups and other grassroots organizations. We serve all people, and we specialize in communities of people whose needs have been unrecognized and under served in medical settings. This includes people of color, those with physical and psychiatric disabilities, and Queer and Trans people of all genders and identities. We serve all relationship and family structures and we recognize that coming fully into our Selves happens through our connection to each other.”

This was also the last Thursday on the Lawn for Loring Greenough House. Loring Greenough has cultivated a stand-out community event with their Thursdays on the Lawn, and we look forward to its return next spring!

Families and friends join us for Beetlejuice, at our last Screen on the Green. Sponsored by The Meeting Point.
