JP Holiday Stroll was LIT!

It turned out to be a great day for a Holiday Stroll on Saturday, Dec 1! So many events took place throughout the district, capped off with a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus on the Mayor’s Enchanted Trolley Tour. Our tree at Monument Square is LIT and we’ll see decorations on it in the coming weeks.

Our day started with the Boston Symphony Orchestra playing on the lawn of First Baptist Church at 1PM. It was a short concert with all of our holiday favorites, by a quintet from the horn section! JP Centre/South Main Streets was on hand to remind everyone to use our new StriveOn app to find out all the events happening that day.

Many thanks to Mayor Walsh, Santa and Mrs. Claus, as well as the English High School Marching Band, who provided festive music for the whole crowd. City employees from almost every department were on hand to greet the crowd as well.

Finally, Random Chants caroled through the district after the Mayor’s visit to bring holiday cheer to some of our small businesses. Our friends at Caffe Nero, City Feed & Supply, and JP Licks say that they were a big hit!

We hope it was a big hit for those who came out to enjoy the festivities as well. Here’s wishing you a safe and happy holiday season!
