First Open Streets in Jamaica Plain

The streets were packed with lively activity for Open Streets on Sunday, July 10. JP Centre/South Main Streets used the time to celebrate the 100 Year Anniversary of George’s Shoes at 669 Centre St. Our city councilors and Mayor were on hand to share in the celebration! Jazz in Jamaica Plain Concert Series Wraps Up

We finished our Jazz in Jamaica Plain concert series with our final concert on Thursday, October 7, 2021, at the South Street Tennis Courts and Mall. Many thanks to New England Jazz Connections for coordinating the musicians, and for using each concert as an opportunity to raise funds for the JP Roxbury Mutual Aid. We would also like to thank the Boston Main Streets Foundation for their generous grant to fund the musicians.

JPCSMS Seeks Artists for Winter Light Show

JP Centre/South Main Streets has issued a Request for Proposals for their 3rd Annual Winter Light Show. The organization seeks artists who will use JPCSMS’ crowdfunded projector to create an artistic and dynamic light show with projection mapping that will project onto a local building within the district. Special preference will be given to artists from Jamaica Plain. Details are available for download.
