WEATHER LOOKS GOOD – SCREEN ON THE GREEN IS ON!
EDIT – Please check back for weather updates. Rain is expected in the morning, so we will wait until 2PM on Thursday before making the call. At this time, Screen on the Green is still on.
At last, we are able to bring back Screen on the Green, thanks to the generosity of Unlimited Sotheby’s International Realty, Jamaica Plain! They have agreed to sponsor our next film, Disney’s Moana, to be screened on the lawn of the Loring-Greenough House on September First Thursday.
The film will show at 7:00 PM on September 7, just before dusk. Viewers are encouraged to bring blankets and/or chairs to sit on. This screening will be in conjunction with Loring-Greenough’s regular Thursdays on the Lawn featuring a farmer’s market, vendors, and food trucks from 3:30 PM until dark.
“Moana” is the tale of a young girl who takes a daring journey to save her island from a curse incurred by the Demigod Maui. It was nominated for two Oscars and features the voices of Auli’i Cravalho and Dwayne Johnson and music by Lin-Manual Miranda.
(If the event is cancelled due to rain, we will show Disney’s Moana for October First Thursday, October 5.)
