Monthly Board Meeting
The next monthly Board Meeting will be October 28, 2026.
Our monthly board meetings are held on the 4th Wednesday of every month via Zoom, except in the case of holidays and when we meet in person quarterly. Our meetings are free and open to the public. You can also find details of past meetings here. Please contact us if you would like to attend one of our meetings.
JP Canine Costume Parade
It is the 22nd Running of the JP Canine Costume Parade and it falls on HALLOWEEN this year!. Join us on Saturday, October 31, 2026, as our apparelled pooches parade down Centre Street to walk the red carpet! Prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place for best costumes.

Parade at 1pm, starting at First Baptist Church
Red Carpet at 1:30pm at Loring Greenough House
Registration begins at 12pm on the lawn of First Baptist Church. You must register your dog IN PERSON with the $10 fee to be eligible for the Costume Contest. All proceeds go to Shultz’s Guest House Dog Rescue in Dedham, MA.
Parade begins at 1pm and proceeds from the First Baptist Church at 633 Centre Street, down Centre Street to the Loring Greenough House at 12 South Street. Dogs will walk the red carpet once all dogs have arrived at Loring Greenough.

Mah Jongg Madness Fall Fundraiser
Join us for Mah Jongg Madness – a lesson and open play for Mah Jongg players of all skill levels. Our Fall Fundraiser will include a lesson by Carolyn Kramer, a Jamaica Plain Mah Jongg teacher, and open play for players who are ready to jump into it.

Tickets are $50 per individual or TABLES FOR 4 for $200. Individuals will be assigned to a table. (If you wish to be seated with a friend, be sure to arrive together). Please select LESSON or OPEN PLAY.
Play is American Mah Jongg and will require a NMJL card. If you do not have a card, one will be provided.
Your ticket includes complimentary treats from our local restaurants, while you learn to play the tiles. We will also have beer, wine, and cocktails for purchase, along with a silent auction for fun Mah Jongg prizes!
We hope you will enjoy our Fall fundraiser! All proceeds benefit JP Centre/South Main Streets. We are a community-led organization whose mission is to enhance and strengthen the JP Centre/South business district as a vibrant center of commercial and community activity for Jamaica Plain and surrounding neighborhoods.
