Our June meeting will be IN PERSON.
Our monthly board meetings are held on the 4th Wednesday of every month via Zoom, except in the case of holidays and when we meet in person quarterly. Our meetings are free and open to the public. South Street Fiesta – Thursdays in July
Join us for the South Street Fiesta on Thursdays July 16, 23, and 30, in the parking lot across from Happy Market! We’ll have live music, games, and food for everyone! Free to attend and open to all.
Open Streets & JP Summer Fest – Sunday, August 2
ROUTE CHANGE! This year the city’s event will go from Lamartine (by Viva Mi Arepa) to Lochstead Ave (by Rockland Trust) on Centre Street. IT WILL NOT EXTEND to the Monument as it has in the past. Vendor applications are live on the city’s website, if you are interested in participating WITHIN the city’s Open Streets event.
JP Centre/South Main Streets is supporting a group of business owners who will be hosting the JP SUMMER FEST as a continuation of Open Streets ON THE SAME DAY. This event will extend the festivities along Centre and South Street but remain on the sidewalk.
If you are a business along this route, we encourage you to fill out this survey to participate! We have the support of the city in holding a partner event that day, and want to make it a great time for visitors and businesses!

Our Uplift JP events are aimed at addressing racial disparity and inequity within our community and organization. In the spirit of lifting up our businesses, we know that we must support all of our businesses with that same positivity, love, inclusion, equity, and justice. Racism exists within our business district, and we want to undertake work to prevent racism and harassment from happening.

We invite the entire Jamaica Plain community to support, to talk, to ask questions, to learn more, and to voice your opinions. - Design Team – assessing the look and feel of our district, including historic preservation, safety, public works, traffic patterns, and storefront designs/signage.
- Promotions Team – events and programming that bring people to the district to shop.
