In 2023, JP Centre/South Main Streets commissioned an Architectural Study of South Street by PCA Design. The goal of the study was to envision ways to revitalize pedestrian traffic in that part of the district. Storefront design and streetscaping can play a crucial role in creating a welcoming and pedestrian-friendly atmosphere that benefits the businesses and residents in the area. Proper design enhances safety on the street, promotes businesses along the route, and preserves the historic nature and local character of the community.
