All applications are reviewed and approved by JP Centre/South Main Streets. All businesses and nonprofits in the district are eligible, however, applicants must show a current lease, a certificate of good standing, and financial need. All new signage designs need to be approved by JP Centre/South Main Streets. See additional guidelines below.
Signage should meet the Boston Main Streets Commercial District Design Guidelines. All signs will also require permitting by the city’s Inspectional Services department.
Applicants who are eligible for the city’s ReStore program will be directed to apply for the city program so that we may preserve funds for all businesses.
