It was another beautiful day in Autumn for the 21st Annual Canine Costume Parade, co-hosted by JP Centre/South Main Streets and the JP Business & Professional Association! The parade was held on Saturday, October 25, 2025, and featured over 90 dogs (and hoomans) in costume on the red carpet.
The parade commenced from First Baptist Church, where registration was held, guided by the E-13 Police cruisers, and ended at Loring Greenough House, where the red carpet was ready. Dogs (and hoomans) lined up to take their turns on the cat-, er, dog-walk. It is amazing to see the creativity of Jamaica Plain come through in so many of the costumes every year.
3rd Place winner was a Hot Dog Cart with condiments!

2nd Place winner was Chicken & Waffles!

and 1st Place winner was Jaws!

Many thanks to Deborah J. Karson Photography for the photos, to Polkadog Bakery and Blue Frog Bakery for the prizes, and to our sponsors, TD Bank, SEED + CORE Cannabis Dispensary, and TCB – The Cooperative Bank!

We would also like to thank Loring Greenough House, E-13 Police Department, JP Honk, Schultz’s Guest House, and our many volunteers for making this event possible! All registration fees went to Schultz’s Guest House and their work rescuing dogs.
Finally, THANK YOU to all our attendees and participants for making this one of JP’s most beloved events!
