Screen on the Green and JP Festival Trolley THANK YOU!

It was a busy week for JP Centre/South as we hosted our second Screen on the Green on Thursday and then ran the JP Festival Trolley for JP Porchfest on Saturday, July 13.

On Thursday, July 11, we showed Avengers: Infinity War on the playground off of the Metcalf Ct parking lot, with the help of the South Street Youth Center.

It was a fantastic turnout, thanks to the work of the South Street Youth Center. Their organized activities helped bring the younger kids and keep them entertained. A big shoutout also to Happy Market & Spirits who sponsored the film this month.

We’d also like to thank Stamatos Properties for their donation of NEW PROJECTOR for our Screen on the Green events! Our upgraded projector provides better quality and lighting, for a better overall movie experience.

Saturday was JP Porchfest! In its 6th year, we are seeing this event grow larger and larger, with an estimated 10,000 in attendance this year. JP Centre/South Main Streets ran our JP Festival Trolley for the event from 12 noon to 6pm. The Trolley is made possible by a grant from the Boston Main Streets Foundation, with support from Ken Sazama Real Estate, Monroe Heyman Realty, and East Boston Savings Bank.

We were able to upload the Porchfest locations to our StriveOn mobile app as well, introducing more visitors to the great businesses in our Centre/South corridor.

Congratulations to the JP Porchfest organizers for an amazing event!

Look for the JP Festival Trolley next at JP Open Studios on September 28 and 29!
