The Matt and Brad Show!

Many thanks to those who attended our Zoom Cocktail Hour fundraiser. Our first attempt at this new kind of event went pretty well, although we still have a lot to learn. We raised over $1200, and with practically no expenses and no cleanup – my favorite part!

We would like to thank especially Councilor Matt O’Malley for being our celebrity host. Check out his comedy chops in the video below. We would also like to thank Streetcar Wines for leading our wine tasting and donating a portion of their proceeds.

We were also able to recognize our 2020 Volunteer of the Year, Patti McKenna, and Business of the Year, On Centre with owner Phil Celeste. We are so lucky to have Patti and Phil – their commitment to our community led them to create and lead our Galentines Wine & Chocolate Tour in February. This event highlighted the small businesses in our district, as well as the walkability of our neighborhood. It was also another successful fundraiser!

The Zoom Cocktail Hour was enough of a success that we are hoping to repeat it when Autumn rolls around. We always welcome ideas and volunteers, so feel free to contact us if you’d like to get involved!
