JP Centre/South Main Streets Elects Two New Board Members

Jamaica Plain, MA – February 1, 2024 – Two new volunteers have joined the Board of Directors of JP Centre/South Main Streets. JP Centre/South Main Streets is pleased to announce that Kate Raisz and Peter McCoubrey are the newest board members. They were elected at our Annual Meeting on January 24, 2024, along with returning Directors Janet Galloway – Branch Manager of TCB-The Cooperative Bank Jamaica Plain, Michael Epp – resident, and Bradley Brown – Owner of the Blue Frog Bakery.

Kate has volunteered for JP Centre/South Main Streets since 2020. She has been a resident of Jamaica Plain since 1981 – having lived in many different parts of the neighborhood, from Forest Hills to Hyde Square. She has her own small business making media for museums, broadcast, and the web – working out of an office on Centre Street.

Pete has been with JP Centre/South Main Streets since January of 2024. Prior to his current role at Rockland Trust on the Community Reinvestment team, he worked as the Brand and Product manager at Downeast Cider in East Boston. He has been a Jamaica Plain resident since 2020.

JP Centre/South Main Streets also thanks retiring board member, Deborah J. Karson, for her years of service to Jamaica Plain. Deborah can often be seen photographing JP Centre/South and community events. She was actively involved in the #thefrontstepsproject during COVID. You can find her work @deborahjkarsonphotography.
