New Board Member Elected at Annual Meeting

JP Centre/South Main Streets held their Annual Meeting last night at Eliot Hall, home of the Footlight Club, and held elections for new board members. We are proud to welcome Rosanna Báez, owner of Prophecy of the Beauty Salon at 152 South Street, Jamaica Plain., as our newest board member. Rosanna has been getting more involved with JP Centre/South Main Streets since the summer of 2024, in order to bring more vibrancy to the South Street business corridor. We also elected Paul Stamatos, a returning board member, to another three year term.

Along with board member elections, we featured two guest speakers, Lucy Orloski, owner of Elleyo, and Maya Mukhopadhaya, owner of Jadu. Both spoke of their small business journeys in opening their businesses in JP Centre/South and the role that Main Streets played in that journey. We are excited to see their businesses flourishing and, in doing so, driving more pedestrian traffic to our districts.

We also presented reports from each of our committees detailing the work that they will be doing in the coming year, and a video recap of 2024. You can view the PowerPoint presentation, along with the video recap below. The Annual Report is also available to read here.
