Thank you to all who came out for our Galentine’s Wine & Chocolate Tour of Jamaica Plain. If you followed the trail of red feathers, you would have found a Galentine’s celebration of epic proportions with red feather boas and great friends.
Economic Vitality Committee Meeting
Join us for the Economic Vitality Committee of JP Centre/South Main Streets. This group meets to find proactive ways that we can support the business district. We work to build relationships with building owners, landlords, business owners, and residents in order to bring a mix of businesses to the district that meet the community’s needs.
This meeting is free and open to the public.

Public Meeting with Chase Bank Regarding 701 Centre St
A public community meeting has just been announced regarding the revisions and renovations to Chase Bank at 701 Centre Street in Jamaica Plain. All are urged to attend!
20 Districts in 20 Days – #WhereTheLocalsGo
On Saturday, December 14, JP Centre/South Main Streets hosted a visit from Natalia Urturbey – Director of Small Business Development, Chris Osgood – Chief of the Streets, Transportation & Sanitation, and Sebastian Zapata – Deputy Director of State Relations (and leading work for the 2020 Census in Boston). This visit was part of their 20 Districts in 20 Days campaign.
Major Victory for 701 Centre Street Building
A dedicated group of JP residents achieved a major victory for the integrity of our historic buildings! They rallied the community in an effort to preserve the storefront and appearance of the space at 701 Centre Street, the soon-to-be Chase Bank location in Jamaica Plain.
Shine a little light on JP!
Thank you to all who came out to the debut of our Holiday Light Show! The show must go on, snow and all, and we were ready for it! If you didn’t make it to the debut, no worries – the show will play every night from 5pm to 9pm, until Jan 1. Be sure and check it out!
