JP Centre/South Main Streets recognizes the people and businesses who have contributed so much to our community this past year. Councilor Kendra Lara presented certificates to both at our 20th Anniversary Celebration on Thursday, November 3, 2022.
The streets were packed with lively activity for Open Streets on Sunday, July 10. JP Centre/South Main Streets used the time to celebrate the 100 Year Anniversary of George’s Shoes at 669 Centre St. Our city councilors and Mayor were on hand to share in the celebration! JP Centre/South Main Streets urges the City of Boston to review their application process for outdoor seating for restaurants and examine how the process perpetuates racial disparities and inequities for small business owners. This includes both the current temporary 2022 Temporary Outdoor Dining Program and the permanent application process.
