The streets were packed with lively activity for Open Streets on Sunday, July 10. JP Centre/South Main Streets used the time to celebrate the 100 Year Anniversary of George’s Shoes at 669 Centre St. Our city councilors and Mayor were on hand to share in the celebration! There was also plenty of mention on the news!

JP Local First and JP Centre/South Main Streets will join the American Independent Business Alliance (AMIBA) to launch their Shop Indie Local holiday campaign, urging individuals and businesses to shift their holiday spending to locally owned and independent businesses.
We finished our Jazz in Jamaica Plain concert series with our final concert on Thursday, October 7, 2021, at the South Street Tennis Courts and Mall. Many thanks to New England Jazz Connections for coordinating the musicians, and for using each concert as an opportunity to raise funds for the JP Roxbury Mutual Aid. We would also like to thank the Boston Main Streets Foundation for their generous grant to fund the musicians.
