JP Book Tour was a MUST-SEE!

Thank you to all those who participated in our Jamaica Plain Book Tour That You Must Not Miss on Saturday, June 26. We had a great crowd start at one of Jamaica Plain’s quirkiest spots, the U-shaped Bench at Jamaica Pond, by artist Matt Hincman. The tour contined to Centre and South Streets, visiting some of our favorite shops along the way, before finishing with a book signing at Papercuts JP at 60 South Street.

Spectacular Set at South Street Spring Fair

It was a great day at the South Street corridor as bands played atop the Papercuts JP bookstore, and games abounded within the South Street Tennis Courts. Voila! Viola Concert

The weather on Sunday, October 18, 2020, turned out to be just perfect for our mini-concert at our Green Street Parklet. We were so thankful to Daniel Kim of the Boston Symphony Orchestra volunteer his talents and wonderful instrument. These days, the little joys like live music are few and far between, so it was much appreciated.

New Parklet on Green Street

At last the parklet has arrived! Our parklet technically functions as a public park, so it is free and open to the public for use. It will remain in its location until the cold, at which point the city will pack and store the parklet. In the Spring, the parklet is reinstalled in the same location.

On Saturday, December 14, JP Centre/South Main Streets hosted a visit from Natalia Urturbey – Director of Small Business Development, Chris Osgood – Chief of the Streets, Transportation & Sanitation, and Sebastian Zapata – Deputy Director of State Relations (and leading work for the 2020 Census in Boston). This visit was part of their 20 Districts in 20 Days campaign.
